I've heard such great things about these books, and I really don't know where they came from. The characters are boring. The plotlines are even worse. The writing circles back to the exact same sentences over and over again.

Wrath and Emilia's relationship leaves a lot to be desired. Between the boring inner monologues and the even worse dialogue, it's a wonder that they even end up together.

It's a book series that should've been just a duology if that. Nothing happened in Kingdom of the Cursed to move the plot along, and I'm still entirely confused about what the series is supposed to be about.

*There's a third coming out this year, and I will not be buying it. Don't listen to BookTok on this one. There are much better books out there. When compared to any other series, YA or otherwise, this one is not up to par.
